Can you tell me more about becoming a CMT?
Sure, we'd love to! The American Association for Medical Transcription (AAMT) is the professional organization representing medical transcriptionists. The AAMT offers a two-part test which, if passed, will earn you your CMT credential. In the past, AAMT has recommended that students have at least two years' experience before attempting the exam; however, the MTACC program was written and designed to give you this experience while training. Because of the interaction and the advanced studies, our Expert MT students can graduate with more than enough experience to pass their CMT exams.
